Simple Guides for a Thoughtful Journey
Here you'll find practical info, tips and insights to help you prepare for your stay. Whether you're packing your bag, getting ready to disconnect, or just curious about island life – we've got you covered.
Health & Safety
Remote and peaceful, Patuyo Island is a true escape — but with distance comes the need for a bit of preparation. We follow general travel health advice for the Philippines and always encourage our guests to be mindful and responsible. There's a small medical station on the island, and for everything else, we're in touch with nearby towns.
Food
Simple, local, and made with care. Meals on Patuyo are built around what's in season and what we can source from our island and nearby communities. Expect freshly prepared dishes served buffet-style. It’s not fancy, but it’s full of flavor and good stories.
Packing List
When you leave the modern world behind, packing right matters. There are no supermarkets around the corner — just nature, salt air, and whatever you bring with you. Check our suggested essentials before you come, and make sure you’ve got what you need for a comfortable and safe stay.
Weather
Tropical islands come with tropical weather. The Philippines has two main seasons — dry (Nov–Jun) and wet (Jul–Oct) — but it’s never entirely predictable. Expect heat, sun, and occasional showers year-round. Typhoons are rare in our region but can affect travel during the monsoon. We've simplified it all for you — read the full weather overview to know what to expect, and how to pack accordingly.
